Luca Vecoli, born in Pietrasanta (Italy) in 1965, is a freelance photographer based in Berlin. Luca studied philosophy at the University of Pisa and graduated with a thesis in aesthetics. Since 1996 he is based in Berlin where he firstly started to work as a freelance photographer for the Berliner Zeitung and other media outlets. Additionally he studied at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie and frequented the masterclass of Arno Fischer in 2011. Today he works as a self-employed photo journalist specialized in portraits and documentary photography, collaborating with national and international agencies and media.
